SAT Online Preparation
1:1 Digital SAT Preparation with Expert Mentors | SAT Math + Reading & Writing
Prepare Smarter. Practice Strategically. Build Your SAT Score.
Preparing for the SAT but don't know where to start?
The Digital SAT is not simply a test of what a student remembers from school. It tests how effectively students can read, reason, analyze information, solve mathematical problems, interpret data, understand evidence, revise writing, apply grammar, and make accurate decisions under time pressure.
At Junior Robo, our SAT Online Preparation program combines live 1:1 mentoring, personalized learning, concept building, SAT-style practice, timed preparation, error analysis, mock tests and continuous feedback to help students prepare systematically for the Digital SAT.
Comprehensive Dual-Section Preparation:
Instead of following the exact same schedule for every student, we first understand the student's current level, target score, test date, strengths and weaknesses—and then build a personalized preparation roadmap.
Don't just prepare for the SAT. Learn how to think through it.
Book Your Free SAT Demo ClassWhat Is the Digital SAT?
The current SAT is a digital, adaptive assessment consisting of two sections:
- Reading and Writing
- Math
The SAT has a total of 98 questions and 134 minutes of testing time.
Each section is divided into two equal-length modules. The first module contains a broad mix of easy, medium and difficult questions. Based on performance in the first module, the second module is adapted to the student's performance level.
This makes the Digital SAT fundamentally different from a traditional fixed-form exam. Students therefore need more than subject knowledge. They need:
SAT Score Structure
The SAT uses a total score range of 400–1600.
The two sections are each scored from 200–800:
Reading and Writing
54 Questions | 2 Modules
Math
44 Questions | 2 Modules
The total SAT score is the combination of the two section scores. Junior Robo's preparation therefore focuses on developing both sections rather than allowing one area to become an avoidable weakness.
SAT Reading & Writing Preparation
The current Reading and Writing section contains 54 questions in 64 minutes, divided into two 32-minute modules.
The questions are based on short passages or passage pairs followed by a single multiple-choice question. Passages can represent literature, history/social studies, humanities and science.
The four official Reading and Writing domains are:
- Information and Ideas
- Craft and Structure
- Expression of Ideas
- Standard English Conventions
Reading & Writing Curriculum

- Parallel Construction: Balanced grammatical structures and usage clarity
SAT Math Preparation
The Digital SAT Math section contains 44 questions in 70 minutes, divided into two 35-minute modules.
The four official Math domains are:
- Algebra
- Advanced Math
- Problem-Solving and Data Analysis
- Geometry and Trigonometry
Math Curriculum

- Linear equations in one and two variables
- Linear functions, slope, and rate of change
- Systems of two linear equations
- Linear inequalities in one or two variables
- Graphical representation, tables, and mathematical modelling
2. Advanced Math

- Quadratic equations and polynomial expressions
- Equivalent expressions and factoring strategies
- Nonlinear equations and nonlinear functions
- Exponential relationships and growth/decay models
- Rational and radical expressions, absolute value equations
- Systems involving nonlinear relationships and graphical interpretation
3. Problem-Solving and Data Analysis
Students practice translating real-world information into mathematical reasoning:
- Ratios, rates, proportions, unit conversions, and percentages
- One-variable data distributions: mean, median, mode, and measures of spread
- Two-variable data: scatterplots, trend lines, and data models
- Probability and conditional probability from two-way tables
- Sample statistics, margin of error, and evaluating statistical claims
- Observational studies versus controlled experiments
4. Geometry and Trigonometry
Students cover foundational and advanced geometric principles:
- Area and volume formulas for 2D and 3D shapes
- Lines, angles, triangle similarity, and congruence
- Pythagorean theorem and special right triangles (30-60-90, 45-45-90)
- Right-triangle trigonometry: sine, cosine, tangent
- Circles: arc length, sector area, circle equation, radius, and diameter
- Coordinate geometry and transformations
Digital SAT Calculator Strategy
Calculator strategy is an essential component of modern SAT Math preparation. Students may use an approved calculator throughout the entire Math section, and the Bluebook testing application includes an embedded Desmos graphing calculator.
Junior Robo mentors train students on:
- When to use the calculator: Complex systems, graphing non-linear functions, finding points of intersection, statistical regressions.
- When NOT to use the calculator: Simple algebraic manipulation and mental math where pencil-and-paper is faster.
- Desmos features: Graphing equations, slider analysis, table generation, and fast root-finding.
- Verification & Estimation: Double-checking student-produced responses and estimating values before computing.
The goal is not: Calculator for everything. The goal is: Use the right tool at the right time.
Approximately 30% of SAT Math Is Context-Based
Modern SAT Math is not limited to textbook-style equations. Approximately 30% of Math questions are set in context, requiring students to apply mathematical knowledge to science, social science or real-world situations.
Students therefore practice:
- Word problems and multi-step reasoning
- Real-world mathematical modelling
- Data interpretation in scientific and social-science contexts
This is why Junior Robo integrates mathematical fluency with reading comprehension and logical reasoning.
Our Complete SAT Preparation Framework
Step 1 — Diagnostic Assessment
We evaluate where the student stands across Reading & Writing and Math: comprehension speed, grammar accuracy, algebraic fluency, data analysis, accuracy, time management, and specific question-type gaps.
Step 2 — Set the Target
We align on current score, target score (e.g., 1400+, 1500+), intended SAT test date, previous attempts, university aspirations, and available weekly study hours to determine preparation intensity.
Step 3 — Build a Personalized Roadmap
No two students require identical prep. We customize the plan based on baseline profiles:
- Student A (Strong Math + Weak Reading): Targeted Reading & Writing drills and grammar foundation.
- Student B (Strong Reading + Weak Math): In-depth Math concept rebuilding and Desmos mastery.
- Student C (Strong Concepts + Poor Timing): Timed module training, pacing strategies, and question prioritization.
- Student D (High Score Targeting 1550+): Advanced challenge questions, efficiency, and zero careless error training.
Step 4 — Concept Building
Mentors clarify fundamental concepts, recurring patterns, common traps, alternate shortcuts, and test-taking principles before high-volume drilling.
Step 5 — SAT-Style Practice
Structured progression prevents premature burnout:
Step 6 — Detailed Error Analysis
Every mistake is cataloged and transformed into actionable insight across 8 categories:
Step 7 — Reattempt
Students solve fresh variations of missed problems to complete the loop: Mistake → Understanding → Practice → Mastery.
Step 8 — Timed Practice
Timed sets build speed without sacrificing accuracy: reading efficiency, fast mathematical reasoning, elimination habits, and per-question time limits.
Step 9 — Full-Length Digital SAT Practice
Students take realistic adaptive tests in the official Bluebook app and utilize College Board's Student Question Bank to build stamina and test familiarity.
Step 10 — Final SAT Strategy
In the final weeks, focus shifts to execution: high-frequency traps, Desmos checkups, timing rhythm, question-skipping strategy, and calm test-day execution.
